LAW DAY CLASS PROJECT
Hi everyone,
As per every year, law day is around the corner and I have been duly instructed to begin preparing our class for law day.
The Topic: Wounded Warriors: For those for whom the war never ends
Focus: political, social, economic treatment of American Veterans of War. Case Study comparing Vietnam to Iraqi/Afghani Vets
Program: Each grade will design a presentation based on criteria
11th grade: focus on the economic benefits rewarded to veterans, comparing Vietnam to present war veterans. ie - lack of funding of VA hospitals, pensions, disability benefits (PTSD benefits, etc.).
*As you have already participated in two law days, I want to use this blog thread for us to talk about/suggest ways we can make a presentation out of our assigned task, be it a skit, powerpoint, role-play (which I guess is a skit), etc. it should be entertaining and informative.
So please post with your suggestions.
In addition: a two to four typed page typed paper will be MONDAY APRIL 20TH, that will answer the question: To what extent has the economic benefits rewarded to veterans changed from Vietnam Veterans to Iraq War Veterans. Cite at least three sources and give specific details - You must discuss at least THREE of the following: PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) benefits, other disability benefits, Funding for VA hospitals, pensions, health care, medical care, etc. ! I will provide a rubric on Monday 4/6.
*Since you have this due now and the first stock portfolio, there will be no Weekly Homework Assignment for the week of 4/6 and Spring Break.
